Making a Purchase
All credit card transactions at Books First are secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol - the secure server software used by all major online retailers and recommended for all online sales. SSL encrypts all your personal information, including credit or debit card number, name and address. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into pieces of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.

All prices shown on this Site are in Kenya Shillings by default and include VAT of 16%. The Currency Converter provided on the site should be used as a purchasing guide only.

Other Payment Options
We accept the following methods of payment:
1. MPESA
2. Cash on Delivery 
3. Direct Deposit into our bank account;
4. Personal Cheque or money order.

Please note that orders will not be delivered until cleared funds are received. Direct Deposit into our bank can take up to 4 days to appear in our bank account. Personal cheques require a minimum 4 working day clearance after receipt in our offices. If you are paying by Money Order, Direct Deposit or Personal Cheque, please advise us in writing as soon as possible. Stock will only be held for 5 working days following order receipt. After that time it will be returned to stock and the order cancelled.

Security
For all credit card orders, we reserve the right to request further information to ascertain the ownership of the credit card. If this information is not received or does not meet our guidelines, we will refund any money to the credit card and cancel the order. We believe this is in the best interests of all parties.
